At Sacred Journey Academy, Christian education is more than a destination, it is a journey.

… to have a Biblical worldview,
… to be creative and flexible, yet grounded in Jesus,
… to see other people as Jesus does,
… to reflect our Lord’s heart of compassion and love,
… to possess the wisdom of heaven,
… to pursue God’s direction,
… to capably live independently and interdependently,
… to possess the skills for jobs that do not currently exist, with
… the fortitude of Christian Character to withstand challenges in all of life.
Whether any of these noble goals actually happen, depends on the journey.
… to experience the Lord daily,
… to accept Jesus’s forgiveness on their worst days,
… to grapple with Biblical truth for life’s hardest issues,
… to be strong and courageous to “Give it a go even if they don’t know.”
… authentic relationships and transformational experiences,
… ongoing opportunities for service and philanthropy,
… impactful encounters with the wisest among us,
… time and tools to discover God’s purpose,
… projects that develop resiliency and TEAM,
… constant training and practice on always-needed skills, such as leadership,
… challenge and countless teaching moments, well-used.
Students and teachers who understand that success is not just in a desired outcome, but in the beauty of rising and falling as one pursues an outcome. That wisdom and character go hand in hand with learning and living out what you have learned.
It is training oneself both in the physical and the spiritual, to be equipped for all kinds of good works. It is growing and remaining in a posture of humility and deep gratitude for all that we have received because of the sacrifice of Jesus. And finally, it is understanding and celebrating the unique and beautiful parts of each person that makes up the body of Christ as we seek to sharpen, encourage, and love one another well.
