Our goal for your child is to prepare him or her for these greater works that Jesus promises. For too long “greater works” has been narrowly interpreted in some charismatic sense which emphasizes the miraculous. Thinking broadly, the real miracle is how the Kingdom of God has impacted the entire world.

Out of similar convictions, the first hospital for the general public and the poor was started by St Basil of Caesarea in AD 369 – 300 beds. Monasteries housed many hospitals during the middle ages, and the church redoubled its efforts to provide medical care for the poor, spurred on by the preaching of John Wesley and George Whitfield

… Revolutionary advances in the field of statistics were made by a Presbyterian ministry, Thomas Bayes, and Ronald Fisher, a devote Anglican who was the first person to develop a framework for experimental design.

These are just a few examples, there are many others to be found in other modern institutions, from social work to engineering to even technology.

Your children will come to know and love these heroes of the faith and invite them to their own greater works. Our students will be heavenly-minded, to be sure – but NOT “no earthly good”. Instead, the character grounded in heavenly-mindedness and a bevy of practical skills will prepare and propel Sacred Journey students to lives of greater works and more purpose.

With God’s help, prayerfully we not only light this fire in our students, we provide the tools, competence, mindset, and confidence to enable them to tackle their dreams. A great deal of prayer, thought, and research has gone into what kind of educational journey can accomplish these lofty goals. This educational process is unique. Indeed, it is a sacred journey.
