This 60+ minute meeting with our President, Angie Heidelberger, is to evaluate our values and visions align with your family’s convictions, hopes and desires for your children. Both parents attend, but the students themselves are not part of this initial meeting. As a discipleship school, Sacred Journey Academy is for families actively involved in a local church.  A pastor’s reference letter is required, and at least one family member will share their testimony with the President and another SJA staff or board member. SJA will provide the family with a reference letter to forward to your pastor. Families should plan to have this step taken care of prior to the testimony visit.

Our enrollment application is electronic. The link to enroll will be provided at the Educational Success Consultation. To complete the enrollment, an enrollment fee of $200 is charged. Typically, this fee is non-refundable, but we will consider situations outside the family’s control.

After the consultation and testimony, it is generally assumed that students are eligible for Sacred Journey Academy. That’s when you may apply for financial if needed. However, if you have a learning or past disciplinary concern regarding your student, it is wise to wait until the student assessment is completed.

The parent, President and Learning Program Advisor meet to discuss how your child learns best, and visit about any uniquenesses they face in order to create an optimal learning environment for them. 

After you apply, your school account becomes the electronic portal for all required forms. Reminders are sent regularly to families. However, as we work through our very first admissions year, please proactively complete all required forms in a timely way without depending on our reminders.

Sacred Journey Academy will notify both parents, by email, of official enrollment acceptance into the program. This should be a formality at this point in the process.

One or more members of Sacred Journey’s Leadership Council test students for academic ability (Reading and Math), and as needed, any sort of disciplinary / emotional assessment. Learners come in all types – our goal is to place students in the grade levels and learning situations that both challenges them, and reflects their ability and maturity level.
