After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Kimberlie worked in hospital laboratories as a medical technologist. Later, as her family grew and her husband began traveling for work, she made the decision to stay home with their 4 children.
Kimberlie is now a devoted church volunteer and the learning coach for her two youngest children. For 7 years (and counting), she has served in the nursery at church, where she also volunteers as the Cubbies Secretary for the AWANA programs and an Administrative Leader for Bible Study Fellowship.
Seeing kids experience the wonder and awe of who Jesus is fills Kimberlie’s heart. When she heard about the founding of Sacred Journey Academy, she was drawn to the group’s desire for a discipleship school for children. With her desire to “do what needs to be done,” her gift of service, and her passion for Kingdom-building work, she was the perfect fit for Sacred Journey’s Administrative Assistant position.
Kimberlie’s husband, Jason, is a retired Air Force officer who now works in CyberSecurity. They have 4 boys: Jacob (19), Luke (16), Jared (12), and Matthew (10). They have been a billet family for NorthStar Christian Academy for the past three school years and currently have 4 teenage hockey players living with them. The Tiegens enjoy fishing and spending time together out on the lake during summer months. During the winter, they enjoy watching their billet boys play hockey.
Kimberlie and her family attend Alexandria Covenant Church.
