Coreen Schoep felt that serving on the board would allow her to contribute her leadership skills, operational insight, and commitment to community health in a way that aligns with her values. She values the opportunity to help guide an institution that equips students not only with knowledge but also with a strong foundation of faith and character. Coreen desires to contribute to initiatives that strengthen the school’s ability to provide Christ-centered education, foster spiritual growth, and prepare students to live out their lives with confidence and integrity.

Coreen has a Master’s degree in clinical Social Work and is a licensed mental health professional in Minnesota with over 25 years of experience. The last 17 years of those years have been at Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Professionals in Alexandria, where Coreen currently serves as Clinical Director. She provides strategic leadership and oversight for all clinical operations, including supervising and mentoring clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and guiding the clinical direction of SBHP.

Additionally, Coreen serves as an adjunct faculty member at Alexandria Technical and Community College, where she acts as an advisor for the Behavioral Health and Human Services program and provides instruction for courses within the program. This dual role allows her to combine clinical expertise with education, supporting the development of future professionals in the behavioral health field.

Serving through leadership, mentoring, and teaching-whether in her professional role, in education, or within personal relationships- brings joy to Coreen’s life. She believes that investing in relationships, encouraging growth, and modeling compassion, understanding, and unconditional love are powerful ways to reflect God’s love.

Coreen has been married to Jason for over 32 years. They have three grown children, five wonderful grandchildren, and one spoiled 95-pound golden doodle, Revel. Coreen enjoys spending quality time with family and enjoying the outdoors by traveling, camping, fishing, and boating.
